Marketed as Celtic Spice Girls, B*witched are actually a G-rated version, complete with voices so light and sweet you can barely hear them through the whistles, dance beats, and faux guitar solos that litter this debut. There’s a bit of everything here: echoes of Jackson 5 (« Rev It Up »), the intro from « Venus » (« Freak Out »), and song titles straight out of the ’50s (« Oh Mr. Postman »). More frothy than their male counterparts, but harder to swallow, B*witched come off like giddy kids-television hosts.
